Embedded Design Engineer : Detailed Job Description
LOCATION : Bangalore
We are looking for a talented and passionate Embedded Systems Engineer to join our R&D team for developing innovative Medical and Defence products. You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team to develop electronics products from concepts.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
An engineer with a passion for technology and willing to undertake challenging projects. Willing to work as part of a team. Quick learner and person who can adopt new technologies, ready to work in industrial environment.
ROLES &RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and debug new firmware for electronic products and systems.
- Maintain and improve existing designs and source codes.
- Working with the hardware engineers in integrating hardware and firmware.
- Work as a member of cross-functional team by developing electronics concepts/jigs required for R&D.
- Testing and troubleshooting assembled PCBs/devices.
- Work with production team to develop unit/integration test cases, test programs and test jigs.
- Work with quality team to produce documentation of designs and unit/integration test cases.
EXPERIENCE
- Must have minimum 1 year of experience in embedded systems designing.
- Proficient in Embedded C programming.
- Experience in working on Microchip PIC microcontrollers and MPLAB IDE.
- Knowledge in UART, I2C and SPI protocols.
- Hands on experience with interfacing various on-chip and off-chip peripherals like LCD displays, keypads, ADCs, timers, interrupts, GPIOs etc.
- Debugging skills to trace the problems related to code and circuits.
- Good knowledge in drawing/verification of hardware schematics.
- Good knowledge in digital and analogue circuits.
- Should be able to work under a situation of changing requirements.
- Should have good communication and documentation skills.
- Knowledge in programming under Linux based OS will be considered as added advantage.
